I've now established a very good relationship with my AD and can get over 10% discount on a SubC date, which they don't usually discount. I was offered 5% at an independent AD on a YM, which doesn't sound very much. I hope this post helps those trying to get their first Rolex from an AD. I had no Rolex ownership experience until 2021, had no relationships with any ADs, and had never owned a luxury watch. But I've always wanted to own a Rolex and decided to make it happen in 2021. I'm in my early 60s and professionally employed.
